The Saudi Ballooning Federation signed an agreement with the Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate aimed at defining and establishing conditions that ensure future cooperation between the two parties to support ballooning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the organizational, artistic, and technical levels.

This comes in light of the efforts of the Saudi Balloon Federation and the Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate to elevate the level of aerial sports and share the necessary technical and administrative expertise and competencies from both parties to successfully organize ballooning events in the governorate, while also working on finding sponsorships and qualitative initiatives to support aerial sports in the governorate.

The cooperation between the two parties also included the Authority relying on the Federation’s technical advice in areas related to ballooning activities and other relevant topics as needed, in addition to organizing seasonal and local ballooning events within the AlUla Governorate according to the Federation’s approved technical specifications and requirements, in line with the standards of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

With this agreement, both parties aim to attract hot air ballooning events at the continental and international levels to the AlUla Governorate, with the goal of elevating the sport’s level and discovering hidden talents and skills among the people and residents of AlUla.
