The Saudi Balloon Federation participated in the Saudi Aviation Exhibition “Sand and Fun 2024,” which was held at Al-Thumama Airport in the capital, Riyadh, from November 19 to 22, 2024. The event, the most prominent in the aviation field globally, brought together more than 90 countries, creating a platform for knowledge and experience exchange among sector leaders and aviation enthusiasts.

Dimensions of participation

Through this participation, the Saudi Ballooning Federation worked to enhance the Kingdom’s position in the field of ballooning, aiming to make it an attractive destination for practitioners and investors in this sport. The federation had its own pavilion to showcase the latest technologies and practices, alongside workshops aimed at promoting the perception of ballooning as a safe and sustainable aerial sport.

Union ambitions

The federation confirmed that this participation comes within the framework of its vision to contribute to supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by developing ballooning sports and expanding its practitioners in the Kingdom. The federation also managed to open new horizons for cooperation and partnerships at the exhibition, which contribute to the development of the aerial sports sector.

Interaction and turnout

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition welcomed more than 113,000 visitors from within and outside the Kingdom, including a selection of industry leaders, as well as families and aviation enthusiasts who enthusiastically interacted with the stunning aerial displays. The Union booth also saw high interest from those interested in ballooning.
